Our client is a large, well established resin packaging and logistics provider who supplies packaging and logistics needs to companies throughout Louisiana and Texas. We are seeking full-time Packaging Operators to add to their team in Plaquemine, LA.

The facility operates state of the art high volume, automated packaging equipment in a containment free environment 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. A Successful candidate must have a flexible schedule, and able to work rotating shifts day and night, with overtime as required.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect railcars for obvious damage, tampering of seals and vented hatches
  • Sample railcar and inspect samples for contamination issues
  • Review the packout and labels for accuracy against the customer instructions
  • Ensure correct liners and bars were installed
  • Responsible for railcar connect and disconnect. This includes:
  • Connecting the hoses and tying them to car
  • Installing filters
  • Putting catch pans and jack stands in place
  • Starting the blowers
  • Start the line and fill the container per instructions from packout
  • Make sure purge requirements are met
  • Ensure work area is cleaned throughout shift and free of any debris
  • Move and spot railcars based on packaging schedule
  • Maintain communication with mule drivers for container spotting and loading
  • Follow safety guidelines (eye protection, seat belts, etc.)
