We are currently recruiting for a national Gasket Manufacturer based in Baton Rouge. Our client is seeking employees to assist in the manufacturing process for steel gaskets used in the plants. Employees will be using tools and equipment to measure, and cut metal sheets used in the gasket making process. Attention to detail is required and experience using rulers and cutting equipment is preferred. Employees must pass a drug screen and the ability to pass a background check.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB 
General laborers must follow instructions from higher-level employees, they must listen attentively and then use their speaking skills to ask questions or explain what they are doing. They need the manual dexterity to use tools and factory machines, the physical strength to lift and move heavy equipment, and the stamina to remain on their feet for most of their shift.  They follow instructions from more experienced employees to operate machines, hold or supply materials and tools, and load and unload items from machines.

Operate belt sander and small hand grinder to remove burrs, grind welds and bevel rings

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
